she is making my versailles style valance boxes and drapes .i went to a custom design place and estimate was 1500.00 a window .i have 2 windows ...not a option .so we found a pattern online, marianne modified to fit my windows and we went to home depot got the plywood and had them do all the cuts (glenn's tools are packed). so yesterday and today she worked on valance boxes, they look awesome . the complete cost for boxes and drapes (no labor cost of course) is 350.00 a window .

these are 81 inches wide and 12 inches in length ( my windows are 75 inches wide).this gives you room to hang the drapes up inside. the drapes will be made from the corresponding bee fabric.

puppets i bought today
for formal living room drapes
marianne and i went to home depot ,got the plywood (had it cut there) to make the wooden window valances,and the hardware. went to the fabric store got the quilt batting to pad them and the fringe and cord to decorate them,and the tiebacks.(the fabric we got yesterday).this afternoon went to party packagers,the party store anf the corning outlet store .yes i bought stuff ...why wouldn't i ????? came home picked up lyss who had been shopping with ashley and shane ,did a couple more errrands and decided to go to the keg for dinner (erika was at a party).had 150.00 in gift cards with tip be used it all .yummy had creme brulee too!!!!.thanks glenn !!!
alyssa broke up with her boyfriend so i bought her a new one ......
thursday marianne and i went to oshawa to white feather country store,then to visit a cousin in the hospital we had not seen in over 30 years. red lobster for lunch !!!!
friday ,alyssa and erika skipped school and came shopping with us to pickering town center ,but first had to endure our stop at the fabric store ,where they sat in the car for the 45 minutes (while we were inside) armed with cell phones and i pods to save themselves from boredom. we got some goregous fabric (just came in yesterday) for my living room drapes , has the napoleon bee on it so goes well with the french theme of living room. the drapes are to be like the ones we have seen in the versailles castle with the wooden valances .today we have to find matching cords tassels and beads for the trim !!!
erika had 400.00 and decided she wanted to buy a bunny (cause i will not have a ferret in the house ) .she spent 391.56 at the pet store but got everything she needed for the bunny . bunny's name is mochi.
also hit a toy store ,not for the girls but for marianne and i .
she has a play house in her back yard which is 12 by 10 and full of toys .today she got paper dolls, sock monkey and dolls .i have a 5.5 foot puppet theatre painted like a castle ...so today i got some puppets , a wolf in sheeps clothing and a fireman also some sock monkey stuff.
arrived yesterday and it snowed all day. we went to ikea and the asian mall for dvd's before coming home .she drove from ikea to asian mall and home cause i am a wimp in bad weather . dinner was easy cause i made the day before and just had to heat . was comical as usual with the hightlight of alyssa with a mouth full of whipped cream (and i mean full ,she didnt have room for dessert just the whipped cream) .someone made her laugh (dont remember who or what was said ) ,but she spewed it across the table and all over marianne and beyound !!!.never a dull moment. today we are going to white feather, red lobster , my new house(to see what has been done ) and oshawa general hospital to visit a cousin who we have not seen in 30 plus years !!! am sure we will squeeze some more shopping in there also !!!
